It is our belief at WRCC that our small group ministry can have a major impact on the lives of those involved. In fact, we'd go as far as to say that we want every one of our members involved in a small group. The level of friendship and sense of truly walking with others in our spiritual lives is never so strong as it is in a small, intimate setting that allows life-on-life interaction with other Christians. We believe it is a vital part of "Growing God's Families."
Our small groups typically meet from September through May. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for everyone to find a place where they can thrive in some way as they participate. We'd love to help you find a place, if you'd like.
We develop multiple styles of groups. One may be focused on Bible Study, where another may be focused on outreach. One may be a service-oriented group, and another more for fellowhsip. There will be different topics of study or discussion and choices on how the group wants to operate. We feel that the important part of this ministry is being involved at the best possible level for you.
Traditionally, our groups have met on Sunday evenings, and most of them still do. But we encourage groups to figure out what works best for them. If you need to meet earlier in the day, or on Saturdays to accommodate schedules, that is fine. In other words, we don't want when the group meets to interfere with who gets to attend.
Finally, we need people to step up and lead, co-lead or host a group. There are ample opportunities for you to help out in this ministry in some way. You don't have to be an expert at anything, just willing to serve. And we'll help you along the way.
