We're glad you're here!

And we want you to feel perfectly at home.
We offer two worship assemblies on Sunday morning. We give them creative names, like "First Service" and "Second Service." Between them is an hour of Bible Study. You'll find a wide variety of Bible-based classes in various styles and formats. There's a current class description sheet on the tables in the front foyer.
When you come to worship, sit anywhere you like! There are no reserved seats here. In the song book rack in front of you, you'll find a pew sheet which contains the Order of Worship along with announcements and other items of interest.

What should you expect when you visit WRCC?
You Can Expect A Warm Welcome!
The Westport Road church seeks to glorify God by singing, praying and teaching as the Bible directs. Thus, each Sunday we take communion, sing praises to God, and pray from the heart about matters of shared concern. Sermons are Bible-based and practical.
Churches of Christ exist throughout the world; however, each is autonomous. Don't be surprised if our worship style and ministry methods vary from your past experience. We are committed to being biblical, although not always traditional. Our worship and ministry choices reflect our unique makeup and mission in Louisville's East End.

It's a priority for our church. We believe God wants us to help families of all sizes grow stronger and healthier, and many of our ministries are focused on that goal.
The Lord's Supper, also known as communion, was set in place by Jesus himself as a memorial of his sacrifice on the cross. It consists of unleavened bread, which Jesus said is "my body," and the cup, which Jesus said is "my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." We follow the example of the early church by observing the Lord's Supper every Sunday. As we participate in communion with Christ and each other, we remember Jesus' death on the cross and the gift of life he brought us. We practice open communion: all Christians are free to join us.
We take up a free-will offering every Sunday to support the ministries of the church. All contributions are administered under the direction of our elders. They are used to maintain and support our ministries, including missionary and benevolent efforts in the Louisville area and around the world. We do not expect our guests to participate in the collection, but they are welcome to do so if they desire.
Relax. We love children and expect them to behave like children! Most parents take advantage of our outstanding Kidz Konnection programs during both Sunday School and the Worship Assembly, but you are also welcome to keep them with you.
We would love to talk to you about that. At WRCC you'll find a loving faith family that wants to be a blessing in your life. Any of our ministers or shepherds will be happy to talk to you. Click here for more information.
If you have other questions or just want to get better acquainted, give us a call or drop by the church office. We usually have a pot of coffee around here somewhere. We also enjoy having guests during our regular meetings: the Ministry Staff meets on Tuesday mornings and the Leadership Team (elders & ministers) usually meets every other Wednesday night following Pinnacle. Call or contact us by email to confirm that we'll be meeting that week and we'll put your visit at the top of our agenda. It's a great opportunity to get introduced to each other.
