Mondays with mom2mom meets every 2nd
& 4th Monday of the month, September through May from 9:30 to
11:30 AM.
Mom2mom is for mothers of newborns, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary-aged children. But any moms are welcome to join us!
MOMs is an outreach ministry of the Westport Road Church of Christ, and the women who come to our meetings come from a variety of religious backgrounds. We, as a group, seek to encourage each other to grow not only as wives and mothers but towards a deeper relationship
with God. No matter what your religious background, you are welcome at MOMs.
If you
plan to regularly attend Mondays with mom2mom, we do ask that you share in a
$15 activity fee. This money goes
towards the costs of running our program:
handouts, giveaways, speaker expenses, and childcare crafts & snacks. The Westport Rd. Church of Christ provides
the childcare for mom2mom.
If, for
any reason, the activity fee is a financial burden for you, please let someone
on the Leadership Team know. We want
everyone to participate!
No! Our childcare is covered by Westport Road Church of Christ.
The
children at mom2mom are taken care of by caring, experienced women. Babies & Toddlers go to the Nursery wing
at the front of the building where they are often divided into two separate
rooms. Three to five-year-olds go the
Preschool wing where they participate in a variety of activities like free
& directed play, music, creative movement, preschool-like lessons, and a
short movie.
Mentor
Moms participate in Mondays with mom2mom to share from their life experiences. Being a step in the mothering journey, a
Mentor Mom is available to provide a listening ear, to share advice (when
asked!), and to pray with you at any time.
We love our Mentor Moms!
Yes! From Moms' Night Out to an activity with
children or a family event, we try to plan one extra activity a month outside
of our two Monday meetings. Other than
that, we encourage you to build friendships with the other women you meet at
mom2mom through playdates and lunches together.
